A farewell to Macklin: 7.30pm Friday 20th November 2015 


As you know, Friel died on the 2nd of October. Amongst other things in life he was patron of an Autumn festival in County Donegal dedicated to the actor Charles Macklin. The festival announced last month that it was being wound up after 24 years. As you know, Macklin occupies a prominent position in St. Paul’s as the ‘father of the modern stage’ A farewell in the Actors’ Church to Friel and to the Macklin festival on the one evening. I’m currently getting the necessary people in place to make this happen. Donegal Association Dinner Dance  - 21st November, 2015

You are cordially invited to join us at the annual Donegal Association London Dinner Dance which will be held at the Clayton Crown Cricklewood, (previously

known as the Crown Moran) on the 21st November. We are celebrating our 68th year as an Association. Sean Doherty of Highland Radio will be our special guest, and will present this year’s winner of the London Donegal Person of the Year. Noel Cunningham will compère the evening’s proceedings (back by popular demand) and Shane Wallace of Donegal TV will also be there to cover the event. Dinner will be served at 7.30pm followed as usual by a fantastic Raffle Draw. The lively and very talented Dun The Veil will provide the music. We appreciate and thank you for your support and donations, as without your efforts we would not be able to support the nominated charitable organisations. This year we have donated to Donegal Hospice, Donegal Alzheimer’s Association, Donegal Mountain Rescues, Cricklewood Homeless to name but a few. More details on the night.
